FIGMENT TreeHouse retires: meet FELIX, the 2016 summer-long structure!

In 2016, a group of architecture students introduced FELIX, our new summer-long structure!

Taking inspiration from the nature, the designers have constructed a flexible modular system based upon standard wood members which are eco-friendly, reusable and mass-produced. Participants can relax in the mesh pockets surrounding the tree, and explore the variety of interior spaces that will showcase art from local artists. FELIX offers new perspectives and spatial opportunities for people to engage with art, the tree, governors island, and New York City.

FELIX is free for the public to enjoy throughout the summer, 7 days a week when Gorvernors Island is open.

To help us maintain FELIX this summer, please make a donation to FIGMENT today.
